Spencer {Sabine High School} | East Texas photographer |Sabine high school photographer |Senior photographer

Spencer was one of the coolest guys I know…and smartest!  He not only was the closest thing I’ve seen to genius but he was very humble and just a plain cool dude.  I LOVED the ideas he had for his senior session.  It was something different from what I’ve done before and we had a fun thinking outside the box.  My favorite shot of him is when he was looking at his phone.  Because what teenager doesn’t always have their phone in hand at all times.  haha  {and that wasn’t even a planned shot 🙂 }

Model Shoot | East Texas Photographer | Kilgore Tx photography | Tyler Tx Photography |Henderson Tx Photography

Sometimes as a photographer you just want to do something for fun.  Something where nothing is expected of you and you can try out different things to see if its something you’d like to add to your business.  That’s what this session was all about.  I got Molly McWhorter with Dollface Make-up artistry to come and do the girls make up for this session and clothing came from Apricot Lane.  We styled the session so that it was simple but still dressy…I guess you could say dressy casual.  I wanted to really see how big of a difference it made to have a senior session use a professional make-up artist and styled clothing.  I have to say that the make-up made all the difference in the world.  Molly knows just how to put it on so that you are highlighting the right features of YOU.  Nothing was overdone or out of control.  It turned out beautifully and the girls felt like a model for the day.

Carla {Teen} |East Texas photographer | Teen Photographer | Tyler Tx Photographer

I was super stoked when Carla told me her and her Momma were coming to East Texas.  They live in Washington state and we don’t get to see them as much as we’d like to so it was a no brainer that I had to get some shots of her while they were in town.  She is such a beauty and a natural in front of the camera!

Monica & Phil {Engagements} | East Texas Photographer | Tyler Tx Photographer | Engagement Photos | Couples

So clearly I am waaaay, behind on blogging.  It seems like it always gets put on the back burner for some reason.  I actually love doing it, it just can’t seem to put it at the top of the list.  Arrgg.  Anyway, I’m catching up and that means you get to see a lot of post all in one day!!  lol  Enjoy!

Monica and Phil ask me to do their wedding at the Centaur Arabian Farms in Tyler, Tx.  It’s such a pretty little outdoor setting for weddings and engagements.  They were a hoot and we not only got some dressy shots but also some casual as well.  They are a divided house as you can tell. I’m certain that makes for an interesting baseball season in their house.  haha

Cowboy and his Lady | Couples Photography | Tyler, Kilgore Tx Photography | Heather Evans Photography

This past summer I wanted to do a session with my 1976 Bronco for the 4th of July.  It’s always fun to do sessions like this just for fun to be creative and just do something different that the norm.  I ask my brothers girlfriend if she would model for me and she agreed.  So, mid way through the session my brother comes over to “see how it’s going” and we just snagged him for a few shots.  He had been sorting cows and was dirty.  We didn’t plan these shots with him at all, but they turned out perfect.

This is how gorgeous photos can turn out when you have everything all in perfect sync…the golden light, a gorgeous couple,  beautiful land and throw in a little spontaneity.

And a little black and white action…2015-01-26_0004

These are a few of the ones we did with just Kara.  These three could be advertisements for Ralph Lauren.  She did such a great job and we had a blast.

And of course anytime you have girls, a pond and a boat (with a hole in the bottom of it), you are going to have many laughs.  We laughed til our cheeks hurt.  It was so much fun!!  Thanks for  being a good sport Kara!!

{{What the pots done show is that we actually  had to pull the boat across the street with the Bronco to get it to this pond…Oh the laughs!!}}

Weiss Family | Tyler Tx Photographer, Heather Evans Photography

You would’t know it by looking at these photos but it was a frigidly cold day.  We had great weather a few days before but apparently an arctic blast moved in and we were all shivering.  But they were such a good sport.  I shot this session quick to keep us all form getting frost bite.  haha. Thanks to Melisia and her family for trusting me with their family portraits each year.  Repeat clients are a blessing!!  2014-12-28_0023
