I got to cuddle and get sweet sugars from this little man.  He was perfect at his first ever photo shoot and I was honored to get to be the one to take his photos.  I love this family and both of their boys.  I think big brother approves!!

My sweet friend and neighbor Gina and her son were such troopers.  With the beautiful flowers also comes the allergies.  We did this session in the spring with all the pollen in full force.  I’m thankful for such a pretty backdrop though.

Brown Family {maternity} | East Texas Photographer | Henderson Tx photographer | Family photographer

Heather and Pat are not only one of my favorite clients but I consider them friends as well.  I’ve been taking their photos for such a long time now but I still get excited every time she calls me to do them.  They have the sweetest little man and are about to add another little one to the family.

Model Shoot | East Texas Photographer | Kilgore Tx photography | Tyler Tx Photography |Henderson Tx Photography

Sometimes as a photographer you just want to do something for fun.  Something where nothing is expected of you and you can try out different things to see if its something you’d like to add to your business.  That’s what this session was all about.  I got Molly McWhorter with Dollface Make-up artistry to come and do the girls make up for this session and clothing came from Apricot Lane.  We styled the session so that it was simple but still dressy…I guess you could say dressy casual.  I wanted to really see how big of a difference it made to have a senior session use a professional make-up artist and styled clothing.  I have to say that the make-up made all the difference in the world.  Molly knows just how to put it on so that you are highlighting the right features of YOU.  Nothing was overdone or out of control.  It turned out beautifully and the girls felt like a model for the day.

Carla {Teen} |East Texas photographer | Teen Photographer | Tyler Tx Photographer

I was super stoked when Carla told me her and her Momma were coming to East Texas.  They live in Washington state and we don’t get to see them as much as we’d like to so it was a no brainer that I had to get some shots of her while they were in town.  She is such a beauty and a natural in front of the camera!

Tracie & Rob {Married} |East Texas Photographer | Alexandria, VA wedding| Traveling photographer

I was honored when my cousin ask me to photograph her wedding in Virginia.  I’ve always wanted to be able to travel and do sessions so this wedding was my first opportunity.  Although this was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, mother nature had other plans and it rained the entire 4 days I was up there.  That being said, we did get to get a few outdoor shots on the in-between showers.  This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot.  The entire wedding party was a riot and we all had a blast!  From laughing at all of us crammed in the limo, to the father daughter dance, to the awesome DJ, to the last photo of the night, it was a good time.  {We even jumped the barricades at the Lincoln Memorial (they were doing construction) so we could snap a few shots.  All while people were hollering “don’t get shot”.  It was a great time to say the least!!

Although it was dark and we were getting sprinkled on by the rain, we weren’t going to let it stop us from snagging a few shots.

Monica & Phil {Engagements} | East Texas Photographer | Tyler Tx Photographer | Engagement Photos | Couples

So clearly I am waaaay, behind on blogging.  It seems like it always gets put on the back burner for some reason.  I actually love doing it, it just can’t seem to put it at the top of the list.  Arrgg.  Anyway, I’m catching up and that means you get to see a lot of post all in one day!!  lol  Enjoy!

Monica and Phil ask me to do their wedding at the Centaur Arabian Farms in Tyler, Tx.  It’s such a pretty little outdoor setting for weddings and engagements.  They were a hoot and we not only got some dressy shots but also some casual as well.  They are a divided house as you can tell. I’m certain that makes for an interesting baseball season in their house.  haha

Shay {Bridal Photos} |East Texas Photographer | Longview Tx Photographer

I was super excited when Shay ask me to do her bridal portraits.  Her and her hubby got married on the beach in Florida but she wanted her bridals done here.  The home we did them at was amazing and Shay looked beautiful!!

Cowboy and his Lady | Couples Photography | Tyler, Kilgore Tx Photography | Heather Evans Photography

This past summer I wanted to do a session with my 1976 Bronco for the 4th of July.  It’s always fun to do sessions like this just for fun to be creative and just do something different that the norm.  I ask my brothers girlfriend if she would model for me and she agreed.  So, mid way through the session my brother comes over to “see how it’s going” and we just snagged him for a few shots.  He had been sorting cows and was dirty.  We didn’t plan these shots with him at all, but they turned out perfect.

This is how gorgeous photos can turn out when you have everything all in perfect sync…the golden light, a gorgeous couple,  beautiful land and throw in a little spontaneity.

And a little black and white action…2015-01-26_0004

These are a few of the ones we did with just Kara.  These three could be advertisements for Ralph Lauren.  She did such a great job and we had a blast.

And of course anytime you have girls, a pond and a boat (with a hole in the bottom of it), you are going to have many laughs.  We laughed til our cheeks hurt.  It was so much fun!!  Thanks for  being a good sport Kara!!

{{What the pots done show is that we actually  had to pull the boat across the street with the Bronco to get it to this pond…Oh the laughs!!}}

Bagley Family | Sabine, Tyler, Kilgore Family Photography

I met Melissa a few years ago when she owned a tanning salon in Tyler.  I had hoped that one day I would be able to photograph her family, so when she emailed me about setting up a session I was super excited.  I had no idea she had this little gem of a truck available for us to use.  Swoon!  I love all things old, antique and rusty so this was right up my alley.  And of course they were great in front of the camera!!  {and the dogs too} 😉2014-12-28_0024http://www.heatherevansphotography.com
